Time: 6.30pm (nibbles and drinks from 6.00pm)
Venue: The Gabba Ward Office, 2/63 Annerley Rd Woolloongabba (corner of Crown St and Annerley Rd) - entry via the back door off the car park. Ample parking at the back or on street.
Cost: $12 for members (and QWC members with membership receipt), $17 for non-members.

About our speaker
Felicity Meakins is a Future Fellow at the University of Queensland. She is a field linguist who specialises in the documentation of Australian Indigenous languages in the Victoria River District of the Northern Territory and the effect of English on Indigenous languages.
Felicity Meakins has worked as a community linguist as well as an academic over the past 18 years, facilitating language revitalisation programs, consulting on Native Title claims and conducting research into Indigenous languages. Felicity has compiled a number of dictionaries and grammars of traditional Indigenous languages and has written numerous papers on language change in Australia.
Felicity will be joined by two of her Gurindji collaborators from the Northern Territory, Leah Leaman and Serena Donald.
